Dream Artist to Be Featured at La Jolla Gallery Show June 7-11

June 6th, 2008

A six-artist show in La Jolla, CA, will feature Linda Herzog, who has been named one of the top 100 fantasy artists in the world. She “paints her dreams, so what you see on the canvas is a dream interpretation.”

The show will be presented by the Hallmark Fine Art Gallery in La Jolla opens with a meet-and-mingle reception on Saturday, June 7 from 6 to 9 p.m., and runs through June 11.

The featured artists include William DeBilzan, Linda Herzog, Jack Storms, Tom Marosz, Edgar Lamas and Pat Bailey.

“We’ve very eclectic,” said gallery director Michael Hajdaj. “You can see that from the list of artists we’re going to have. We also have art that has some thought behind it.”

The talent on display is comprised of three painters, two glass artists and a contemporary metal artist. More than 40 new pieces will be featured in the show.

The concept behind “Six Exceptional Artists - One Show” is similar to “one night stand” art shows held by college students.

“We’re letting you get the most out of your experience in one space,” Hajdaj said. “Every artist is here for you to approach. You can come in and have an experience … with six dynamic looks.”

Dream Group Explores Dreams’ Healing & Growth Opportunities

June 4th, 2008

Just came across this interesting article about a Denver-area dream analysis group:

Ferrimani, and other local “dreamworkers,” believe dreams are not random. They believe all dreams—even nightmares—come in the service of health and wholeness, and stopping to pay attention to them can help people heal and grow.

Ferrimani believes the root to all of life’s hardships and setbacks—and likewise peace and clarity—is inside. Which is where dreams live. Some people believe working through dreams with a group can be better than therapy. Dreams come tailor-made, filmed live and in person inside your own psyche, advocates say.
